In honor of the Boss celebrating his 61st birthday yesterday, our choice for the Sea Song of the Week is Galveston Bay by Bruce Springsteen.
Of course we recognize this song is not 100% about boating, but it does talk about the life of a couple of fishermen. It's a little surprising, given Springsteen's connection to an ocean state like New Jersey, that almost none of his songs mention boats (although many of his songs do mention being on or near a beach.) Springsteen fans: please correct me if I'm mistaken - I would love to hear him sing some sailing songs.
