This Weekend's Boat, Fishing and Sportsmen's Shows

The big, traditional boat shows are wrapping up for the winter season, but if you are an outdoors enthusiast, there are still plenty of events going on to get you ready for spring.

Back from Boston
We had a great time at the New England Boat Show in Boston last week, and in the words of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, we've got pictures to prove it. Check the pics out on our Facebook page.

Keep reading for a summary of this weekend's boating, fishing and sportsmen's shows.

Boat and Fishing Shows
This coming weekend's events include the Fred Hall Long Beach Boat and Fishing Show in California, the National Capital Boat Show in Chantilly, Virginia, and the Fort Myers Spring Boat Show in Florida. There is also the Salon du bateau de Québec in Quebec City, and BÅDE I BELLA in Copenhagen, Denmark, but frankly we couldn't exactly figure out what is going on at those locations - their websites did not appear to have an English version when we checked them out.

Shows With Something for Everyone
While the aforementioned shows may also have something for everyone, this section includes this weekend's so-called Sportsmen's shows. These are typically hunting and fishing shows that also feature RVs, Boats and sometimes travel info as well as stuff for the home. You are not likely to find sailboats at these shows. And there are a lot of these this weekend, including the Central Oregon Sportsmen's Show in Redmond (Oregon), the Sioux Empire Sportsmen's Show in Sioux City (ND), the Eastern Iowa Sportshow in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and the Louisiana Sportsmen Show at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, Louisiana. We especially encourage you to check out the Louisiana show to help support the growth of the Gulf Coast area.

As always, you can find details about these and other events on our boat show calendar.
