Friday Sea Song for Alabama

This week's Sea Song is Jimmy Buffett - When the Coast Is Clear

Every Friday we post a nautical tune to kick off the weekend, even if you can't get out on the boat.

With all the tornado devastation across the south this week, primarily in Alabama, and with last week marking the one year anniversary of the Gulf Oil Disaster that affected all of the gulf coast states, including Alabama, we wanted to pick a song that would keep the Yellowhammer state in our thoughts - even while a certain wedding across the pond attempts to distract us.

This week's song is for Alabama.
Here is Jimmy Buffett performing his updated version of When the Coast Is Clear live at the Gulf Shores Benefit Concert which was broadcast live on CMT. The first version is off of YouTube and looks like someone recorded it very cleanly off of the TV - it includes Jimmy's introduction of the song and banter with the audience. Great version, but it may not be around very long, so we also included the edited version from CMT.com which has an advertisement before the song starts.

Now, here's our sacrifice to the corporate gods:
Find Jimmy's latest tour dates at Margaritaville.com, and tune into CMT.com for all sorts of great stuff.

And, you can find many of our previous picks for Sea Song of the Week at the Daily Boater Sea Song page.
