Each week we let you know about all the nautical events happening so that if you can't get out on the water, you can still be around boats. This weekend's round-up includes events around the world. Some are worth a trip, and some may be near you. Let's check them out...

Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week Kicks Off
This weekend's premier event is definitely Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, which begins this Saturday, August 6th, on the Isle of Wight in England. As the event's website (http://www.aamcowesweek.co.uk) states, Cowes Week is a great mix of competitive sailing and a vibrant social scene and has evolved enormously since the early days; it now attracts up to 1,000 competing boats, around 8,500 competitors and at least 100,000 visitors.
