Hello Fall Boat Show Season

Fall boat show season kicks off, and just like that, there are a ton of boat shows to check out this weekend...

Every weekend we write about all the current and upcoming boat shows so that if you can't get out on the water, at least you can still be around boats. And after a holiday weekend with barely any boat shows at all, this weekend the event schedule is jam packed. Clearly the fall boat show season is off to a fast start - and it's not even officially autumn yet! This weekend's shows include events in Cannes, Atlantic City, Syracuse, Orlando, Seattle and more...

This Weekend's Boat Shows

There are two major boat shows outside the US this weekend. Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes started in France on Tuesday and runs through Sunday, as does the HISWA Amsterdam In-Water Boat Show in the Netherlands.

In the Northeast
New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are all holding boat shows this weekend. The Atlantic City In-Water Power Boat Show is probably the biggest of the three, while the show in CT - Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase - will be small (it's called a boutique show), but it will likely have the biggest boats. New Jersey is also home to the 12th Annual Antique and Classic Boat Show at Tuckerton Seaport this weekend if you want to get your fix of wooden boats. As for the "Clear'm Out Fall Boat Show and Sale"... well, if you're in Syracuse and really want to go to a boat show, this might be of interest, but it sounds a little like a trip to a used car lot to us.

Way Out West
We only found one show east of the Mississippi this weekend, and that's the Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend, Washington. If you know of any events, please post as comments on the Daily Boater, or to our FaceBook page, and we'll add them to the calendar.

Two Florida Shows
Florida is home to both the Orlando Boat Show at the Orange County Convention Center and the Tampa Boat Show at the Tampa Convention Center.

Meet me in Newport
We are now just one week away from the Newport International Boat Show, and our friends from Boat Name Gear will be exhibiting there for the first time. If you are going to the show, please RSVP here and be sure to stop by the Boat Name Gear booth and say hello!

Event Details, Directions, and More
As always, there are more details about these and other boating events this weekend - including links to the official websites - on our calendar of boat shows. If we missed an event in this article or on our calendar, please send us an email - - or post it on the Daily Boater Facebook page.
