Every week we write about all the weekend's boat shows so that if you can't get out on the water, at least you can still be around boats. The fall boat show season is in full swing, and one of the biggest boat shows of the year is going on right now, in Newport, Rhode Island... and we are there. As always, we've got pictures to prove it - a couple in this article and more posted on facebook.
If you are in New England, you must go to the Newport International Boat Show. But if you're not, don't worry, there are a few other shows around the world this weekend. Let's check them all out...
This Weekend's Boat Shows
In the USA
In addition to Newport, there's the North American In-Water Boat Show at Cedar Point Marina in Sandusky, Ohio. There's also the Boats Afloat show on Lake Union in Seattle, Washington. All three of these events are good size shows and worth a trip if you are in the area.
Abroad
Boat shows outside the US this weekend are no slouches either. In fact, they are some of the biggest in their respective countries. They include the following:
the Auckland International Boat Show in New Zealand,Being in Newport
the Bank of Valletta Boat Show in Malta,
the Southampton Boat Show in the UK,
and INTERBOOT in Germany.
We are writing this from the "ocean state" where we are on-site for the Newport International Boat Show, - our friends from Boat Name Gear are exhibiting there in NYC Tent C. If you are going to the show, please RSVP here and be sure to stop by the Boat Name Gear booth and say hello! As promised, here's another pic from the show. There are a few more on facebook, here, and we'll try to add more over the weekend.
