Just a few, but they're big ones... International boat shows begin this weekend in Spain and China...

Each and every Thursday we tell you about all the weekend's boat shows and nautical events, and there are a couple of good ones this weekend. Unfortunately, coming off the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show last weekend, there are not that many shows this weekend; exhibitors are catching their breath and catching up from that huge event. But this weekend's shows in China and Spain will not disappoint. We also have boat show news from Florida's event and about a canceled show in the UK.

Feel free to jump right to our calendar of boat shows at FirstBoat, or continue reading this article at the Daily Boater...

This Weekend's Boating Events
China (Xiamen) International Boat Show
For the third consecutive weekend, there is an "International" boat show in China. This time it is at Xiamen Wuyuan Bay Marina, Friday through Sunday.

International Boat Show of Barcelona
Saturday is the first day of the week-long Salón Náutico, the International Boat Show of Barcelona. Spain's biggest boat show runs through the 13th of November.
More Boat Show News
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show made a big splash last weekend, but one of the exhibitors had their presentation cut short when U.S. marshals seized their booth in response to the company ignoring a $600,000 federal judgment. (full story linked on the FirstBoat Facebook page).

The 2012 Boat & Caravan Show, scheduled for Feb 21 to 26 of 2012 in the UK, has been canceled.

Speaking of boat shows, we always like seeing the latest models of fishing boats at the big shows, and one of the brands we look for first is EdgeWater Power Boats. That is why it is our pleasure to welcome EdgeWater as a sponsor to the Daily Boater. Please help support our site by giving EdgeWater a look when you are ready to upgrade to one of the safest and most reliable fishing boats on the market today.
