Every weekend at the Daily Boater we choose a song to help get you into that nautical state of mind, even if you can't get out on the water. We call it our Sea Song of the Week.
And since it's a week before Christmas, we thought we'd pick a song to help you "sail" through the holidays...
Santa's Going South for Christmas
Our choice for Sea Song of the Week is Santa's Going South for Christmas by Sammy Hagar, (A.K.A. the Red Rocker). We saw this song mentioned on facebook by our friends at Caron's Beach House (Thanks, Caron!)
Sammy released a studio version of this song just last month with Toby Keith (iTunes), but we found this video on YouTube from last year of him performing the song for what may be the first time - with a little "help" from his friends Bob Weir and Mickey Hart...
You can find many of our previous picks for Sea Song of the Week at the Daily Boater Sea Song page.
If you want to learn more about what the former Van Halen front man is up to these days, including his band the Wabos, his band Chickenfoot, his new Beach Bar Rum, or his NY Times Best Selling book "RED", then you need to visit www.redrocker.com right now!
