Strike

Today's Daily Boater article is not about boating... 

But it is about the future of the Daily Boater, FirstBoat.com, and more importantly, the entire Internet.


We are going postless today like so many other web publications to take a stand against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA). The proposed bills would be okay if they simply 'stopped piracy'. But, unfortunately, the current versions of the bill allow big corporations to shut down any site they feel is violating their copyright. A law like this would dramatically alter the way you use the web, and would mark the beginning of the end of smaller websites like this one...
