This weekend's boat shows include events in Canada, the UAE, and in Maine, Mass, NJ, Texas and Tennessee in the US...

This Weekend's Boat Shows
There are a few less boat shows compared to last weekend, as event organizers probably decided not to compete with St. Patrick's Day in most locations. Or maybe they figured the exhibitors might not show up. Anyway, there are still a few shows in the United States and abroad. More details on these and more can be found on the updated, easier-to-read FirstBoat boat show calendar.

First, let's look at the shows starting today or already in progress...
  • The Dubai International Boat Show in the UAE is on now through Saturday, the 17th. There will likely be some insanely huge yachts at this event.
  • The Edmonton Boat and Sportsmen's Show in Alberta starts today and goes through Sunday the 18th.
  • And, Novi, Michigan, hosts their Spring Boating Expo at the Suburban Collection Showplace today through Sunday.
A few shows start on Friday, March 16th, including...
  • The Music City RV and Boat Show in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
  • The Worcester RV, Boat and Camping Show at the DCU Center in Mass (see Northeast Boater).
  • The Maine Boatbuilder's Show in Portland (again, see Northeast Boater).
  • The Saltwater Fishing Expo at the Garden State Exhibit Center, Somerset, New Jersey.
There are a couple of shows that are Saturday and Sunday only...
  • The Big Country Outdoor Show is at the Civic Center in Abilene, TX.
  • The Rosehill Trailer Boat Show is happening at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in NSW, Australia

In Other Boat Show News...
  • The Palma International Boat Show, which was planned for April 28 - May 2 in Spain, has been canceled for 2012.
  • SAILQUEST returns to Connecticut this May, but moves south from Mystic Seaport to Milford Landing. It also moved from very expensive to free (More Info.)
  • The Moscow Boat Show (yes, Moscow in Russia) starts Tuesday the 20th. We're only mentioning this because our next boat show round-up doesn't appear until next Thursday.

As always, dates, times and links to all these shows and more can be found on the First Boat boat show calendar
