Back to Boat Shows

Last weekend we had Fleet Week, the America's Cup and more for Columbus Day Weekend, but now it's back to the boat shows...

Yachts in Annapolis

Last weekend's boat show round-up was marked by Columbus Day Weekend and big non-boat-show nautical events such as Fleet Week the America's Cup World Series. This weekend is different. This weekend is all boat shows, and they're all over the place.

This Weekend's Events

One of the biggest boat shows in the country is this weekend in one of the nation's biggest boating hubs - Annapolis. Seriously, going to Annapolis on any given Tuesday is like going to a boat show, even when it's not boat show season (I took the above photo this past summer while passing through Maryland.) That being said, the United States Powerboat Show is quite an event. The show started Thursday, October 11, and runs through Sunday the 14th.

Down in Florida it's the Tampa Bay Boat Show at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Friday through Sunday.

Over in the longhorn state, it's the Texas Coast Boat & Outdoor Show at Galveston Yacht Basin, Friday the 12th through Sunday the 14th.

There are a few shows going on outside of the US this weekend as well...

This is the second weekend of the 52nd annual Genoa International Boat Show, aka Salone Nautico Internazionale, which spans four pavilions and two marinas. This event goes through the 14th in Italy.

Scotland's Boat Show is Friday through Sunday (Oct 12 - 14) at Kip Marina in Inverclyde, Scotland.

And lastly, the Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show is happening this weekend Down Under in Western Australia
