Sandy Update from the Northeast: 65,000 Boats Damaged

BoatU.S. surveys boat damage from SuperStorm Sandy, pegs total at $650 Million... 

It is now estimated that more than 65,000 recreational boats were damaged or lost as a result of Hurricane Sandy according to a report released today by the Boat Owner’s Association of The United States (BoatUS).

The dollar damage associated with all recreational boats from the storm is reported to be approximately $650 million, making this the single-largest industry loss since BoatUS began keeping track in 1966.

  1. God bless everyone in Sandy's wake but knowing boaters they will not let this get them down. Nothing stops them will ever prevent boaters from being boaters.
