This weekend, while many families are packing up their ghosts and goblins until next year, and setting the back their clocks, hundreds of thousands of boating enthusiasts from around the world will be gathering in one of the major yachting capitals of the world for the 54th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The 2013 version of the famous South Florida show claims to be the largest in-water boat show, and with six locations and 3 million square feet of space filled with boats, yachts, accessories and goodies, it probably is.
Many of the activities at this year's show seem to be centered around SeaFair, a 228-foot custom yacht housing an art exhibit, fine jewelry, a restaurant and bar, the AIM Pavilion, and VIP lounges. SeaFair is docked at the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel and Marina.
The show runs from October 31-November 4, 2013. Following are the times, locations and cost of admission (expect to pay more for parking, food, and any accessories you might decide to pick up at the show.)
Boat show headquarters are at the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel & Yachting Center, with additional exhibits at the Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Municipal Marina, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Sails Marina, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward County Convention Center.
